Információk a kurzusról

Skin health is vital to a pet’s quality of life. Using the case study of a female West Highland White Terrier named Roxy and her pet parent Daniel, you’ll follow Dr. Hill and veterinary nurse Ana through an in-clinic examination session and follow-up visits.

Using an engaging interactive format, this course will challenge you to watch for signs of skin disease in dogs, including atopic dermatitis, often referred to simply as atopy, and adverse food reaction (AFR). You will become more familiar with the latest changes in the diagnostic approach for these patients, related KNFs, and the latest nutritional management advances to help minimize the impact of allergic skin disease.

You will need a general understanding of how to manage a session with a pet and pet parent and an appreciation for canine health basics. Give yourself ample time to complete the course, ideally in a quiet, distraction-free setting. The course will take about 2 hours 30 minutes to complete.

The course will give you an understanding of potential dermatologic signs of atopy and AFR in dogs. You will gain knowledge and confidence discussing the latest nutritional management strategies of these issues with pet parents. You will be able to help pet parents implement proven nutritional management to help achieve both earlier and long-term relief from environmental allergies and food sensitivities. Ultimately, this will help improve quality of life for your canine patients and their families.
